This retro-futuristic floor lamp is a bold statement in it's combination of upcycling and a clear vision of artistic enhancement. Mounted on a metal base with 4 legs, the head is rotatable and tilting. It appears to be human with a curved metal rod simulating hair waving in the wind. The monocle gives it a more intelligent trait. The whole object seems to be captured in movement, very dynamic and unresting.
The lamp is based on a GDR medical radiator from the 1970's. It is entirely made of metal. It is completely handwired. The paintjob is still the original. Once equipped with a uv-light emitting quartz bulb in the middle and infrared bulbs for the eyes it now features LED bulbs and can be used on a daily basis. The eyes are equipped with yellow LEDs. The nose is a new construction and features a rare tubular LED. Supposed to be ready for the museum we redeem this lamp and make it ready for a future life at your home.
Diese retro-futuristische Stehlampe ist in ihrer Kombination aus Upcycling und einer ganz klaren Vision zur künstlerischen Erweiterung ein starkes Statement. Montiert auf einem verchromten 4-Bein-Fuß, schwenkbar, erscheint der Lampenkopf menschlich, durch die aus einer gebogenen Chromstange simulierten, wehenden Haare sehr dynamisch, quasi auf dem Sprung, rastlos. Das Monokel, ein vintage Farbfilter, suggeriert einen kritischen Charakter. Die gesamte Leuchte scheint in einer Vorwärtsbewegung gefangen.
"Nummer 6" basiert auf einer medizinischen Bestrahlungslampe der DDR der 1970er Jahre. Sie ist komplett aus Metall gefertigt. Ursprünglich besaß diese Leuchte 2 Infrarot-Glühbirnen als Augen und eine UV-Licht Quarzlampe in der Mitte. Mit modernen LED ausgestattet, ist sie jetzt für den täglichen Gebrauch geeignet. Bei der Auswahl der LED wurde darauf geachtet, dass das Licht nicht blendet. Als Augen dienen zwei gelbe LEDs. Die besondere E14 Stab LED in der Mitte musste mit einer neu entworfenen Halterung bestückt werden. Bei diesem Model wurde die originale Lackierung weitgehend beibehalten. Der Lampenfuß ist eine neue Konstruktion. Die Lampe ist handverkabelt. Eigentlich museumsreif, erstrahlt sie jetzt in neuem Glanz.
