Diese retro-futuristische Tischlampe ist in ihrer strengen schwarz-weiß-roten Farbgebung ein starkes Statement. Beinahe kubistisch anmutend durch die Verwendung ausschließlich einfacher geometrischer Formen wie Rechtecke, Kreise, Zylinder, Halbkreise. Memphis kommt vielleicht in den Sinn. Doch Strenge und Minimalismus waren für uns nicht genug. Dadurch fügten wir an beiden Seiten des Lampenkopfes Metallbügel hinzu, welche Katzenohren simulieren sollen. Mehr noch: Durch eine Konstruktion aus Acrylhohlkugeln sowie Fresnel Linsen ergibt sich ein Augeneffekt, der die dahinter liegenden roten LED Birnen vergrößert. Wir sehen eindeutig einen Katzenroboter. Was siehst du?
"Black Cat White Cat" basiert auf einer medizinischen Bestrahlungslampe der DDR der 1960er Jahre. Sie ist komplett aus Metall gefertigt. Ursprünglich besaß diese Leuchte 2 Infrarot-Glühbirnen als Augen und eine UV-Licht Quarzlampe in der Mitte. Mit modernen LED ausgestattet, ist sie jetzt für den täglichen Gebrauch geeignet. Bei der Auswahl der LED wurde darauf geachtet, dass das Licht nicht blendet. Als Augen dienen zwei rote LEDs. Die besondere E14 Stab LED in der Mitte musste mit einer neu entworfenen Halterung bestückt werden. Auf der Rückseite besitzt die Lampe 2 Schalter, mit denen Augen und Nase separat an- oder ausgeschaltet werden können. Der Lampenfuß ist eine neue Konstruktion. Die Lampe ist handverkabelt und komplett neu lackiert in schwarz und crèmeweiß.
This retro futuristic table lamp is a very strong statement in it's black, white and red colour scheme and also in it's almost cubist approach using basic geometrical forms like rectangles, tubes, circles and semicircles. But we didn't want to make it sparse and cold. that's why we installed two metal hooks to each side of the lamps head to mimic cat ears. Plus we added acrylic domes and fresnel lenses to create an eyeball effect that also magnifies the red glowing bulbs behind. We can clearly see a robotic cat in this lamp now. Do you?
The lamp is based on a GDR medical radiator from the 1970's. It is entirely made of metal. It is completely handwired. Originally equipped with a uv-light emitting quartz bulb in the middle and infrared bulbs for the eyes it now features LED bulbs and can be used on a daily basis. The eyes are equipped withred LEDs. The nose is a new construction and features a rare tubular LED. There are two switches on the back to use eyes and/or nose separately. The lamp socket is a new construction. supposed to be ready for the museum we redeem this lamp and make it ready for a future life at your home.
